Argentinian edges Negreanu and ElkY at SCOOP
Online Poker
Argentinian pro Roberto "Maestro Shao" Greco took the SCOOP #6-H ( $1,050 NL Draw ) after sitting three-way with the two of the most successful tournament players.
The Spring Championship Of Online Poker ( SCOOP ) is much more than NLHE tournaments.
Among the 40 different events you can chose from at SCOOP you'll find exotic variants like Badugi, NL Draw, Triple Stud and 8-Game.
Tuesday night it was time for the NL Draw Event - three tournaments at respectively $11, $109 and $1,050. In the expensive tournament PokerStars had guaranteed a prize pool of $50,000 but with 84 players entering it meant there was $34,000 more to play for.
A large part of the game is based on bluffing something the Argentinian skillfully mastered on several occasions - especially when the game was 3-handed and the opponents were ElkY and Negreanu.
Almost 10% of the participants were Team PokerStars Pro's and the star-studded team did really well.
Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier finished 3rd, while Daniel "KidPoker" Negreanu was the runner-up - as he was at the PCA Super Highroller and €25K EPT Grand Final Highroller.
The winner was Roberto Greco also known as "Maestro Shao".
