As we reported earlier today we’re bringing you exclusive updates directly from Gus 'The Great Dane' Hansen at the high stakes tables in Macau.

As we know it from high stakes cash games there’s both big ups and big downs – and at the Starworld Casino in Macau things aren’t different. The heads-up action is in full effect with Gus Hansen going up against American wonderkid Tom 'durrrr' Dwan.

Here's a recap from Gus:

"3 barreling against Durrrr drawing dead - Usually not a profitable way to go".

"I had planned it from the get go - a continuation bet on the flop - a follow up on the turn and if he called both bets I would give up on the river".

"He did call but once the river came I decided that he was on the nut flush draw and since I couldn't beat Ace high I had to fire again. A HK$1,700,000 river-bluff, but a quick call from Durrrr sent all the chips in the wrong direction".

"The good news was that Durrrr did have the nut flush draw, the bad news that he had top pair to go with it. Ups :-(“
