Brian Hastings looking for redemption in Vegas
After two weeks of expensive losses Brian Hastings is looking for redemption and with a guaranteed six-figure-cash in WSOP Event #12 he's on the right path.
The first two weeks Brian Hastings spent in Vegas cost him a bundle. He didn't cash in the $25K WPT Season Final or in the $100K WPT Super Highroller - and with only 2 winning cash game sessions out of a possible 15 it's not been profitable for the American in Sin City.
But everything is about to change for the highstakes pro. In WSOP Event #12 ($10,000 NLHE Heads-Up) Hastings has gone through from the quarters to the semi-final, guaranteeing him at least $130,606.
There's $317,498 to the winner of the event and $229,722 to the player who finishes 2nd.
In the semi-final Brian Hastings will go up against compatriot Tommy Chen, who beat Viktor "Isildur1" Blom in the 2nd round of the event.
The four semi.finalists are: Brian Hastings, Tommy Chen, Jason Mo and two-time WSOP winner Brock Parker.
The way to the semi-final:
Tommy Chen defeated the following: Eric Froehlich, Antonio Esfandiari and Chris Moore
Brian Hastings defeated the following: Tommy Vedes, Amritraj Singh and Jeffrey Gross
Jason Mo defeated the following: Max Steinberg, Eevert Kokkonen and Andrew Robl
Brock Parker defeated the following: Mark Radoja, Douglas Polk and Michael Drummond
