Norwegian poker star Annette Obrestad is ready for the quarterfinal in WSOP Event #3 ($3,000 NLHE/PLO Heads-Up) and gunning for her first piece of Vegas jewelry.

Later today, Thursday May 31st, we'll find the winner of the WSOP Event #3, where 317 players put down $3,000 each to compete heads-up in NLHE and PLO.

In this new tournament format the players will first play 10 hands of No Limit Hold'Em and after that 10 hands of Pot Limit Omaha - and then over again.

After day 2 we're down to the quarterfinals. 8 players are left - which means 3 victories will get one of them the highly coveted bracelet.

The match-up we're looking forward to the most is probably between former WSOP Europe Main Event winner Annette Obrestad from Norway and the American tournament shark Jason Koon, who in January showed great strength by finishing 4th in a highly competitive field at the $25K PCA Highroller.

Other notables in the quarters include WPT winner Andy Frankenberger and cash game specialist David "Raptor" Benefield.

Bracket 1:

Julian Powell vs. Gregg Merkow

Leif Force vs. Andy Frankenberger

Bracket 2:

Jason Koon vs. Annette Obrestad

Simeon Naydenov vs. David Benefield

1. $207.708
2. $128.660
3.-4. $73.655
5.-8. $28.409
