The world's biggest poker site, PokerStars, has just won a prestigious award. It's been selected as one of the UK's Best Workplaces.

Every year the Great Place to Work Institute gives out awards to companies all over the globe. This year PokerStars joined the competition and they debuted just fine as they were selected one of the best places to work in the UK.

When the Great Place to Work Institute has to chose which companies to award one of the most important tools they use is an employee questionnaire. Every one of the 1,200 employees at PokerStars filled out this questionnaire anonymously. Approximately half the people work in their UK branch - and they're happy.

When the announcement on the award was made PokerStars HR-director Lynn Hunter was ready with a statement:

“This is the first time we’ve participated in the Great Place to Work survey, so it’s especially gratifying to know that our efforts are contributing to the success of our business, and that employees consider PokerStars to be a Great Place to Work,” said Lynn Hunter.

PokerStars do their utmost to keep their people satisfied by offering perks and further eduction - something that helped them win.

“As a fast-growing company, attracting and retaining talented people is critical to our business, so we are dedicated to ensuring our employees are well supported, nurtured and rewarded,” said Lynn Hunter.
